RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -068 ADOPTED June 14, 2011
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING THE WAIVER OF FEES FOR THE 2011 LITTLE LEAGUE
BASEBALL VIRGINIA STATE TOURNAMENT
WHEREAS, the 2011 Little League Baseball Virginia StateTournament will be held at
Freedom Park July 22 -27, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the event is expected to draw between 800 -1,000 players, coaches, family
members, and Little League officials during its duration; and
WHEREAS, in order to prevent any problems from arising, the event organizers are
requesting a dedicated Leesburg Police presence; and
WHEREAS, the associated cost for two (2) dedicated officers for the duration of all games
is $5,400.00.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that Town
associated costs in the amount of $5,400.00 for the 2011 Little League Baseball Virginia State
Tournament are waived.
