A RESOLUTION: APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FY 2012 GENERAL FUND
BUDGET, AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR $11,936
AWARDED THROUGH A GRANT RECEIVED BY THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
WHEREAS, the US Department of Justice through the FY10 Edward Byrne Memorial
Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) has awarded a grant to the Leesburg Police Department in the
amount of $11,936 to fund enhancements to the Department's emergency response equipment.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
FY 2012 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the amount of
$11,936 for the Police Department for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30,
2012, for the purchase of equipment to enhance the Department's emergency response equipment.
The source of the funding is the FY10 US Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice
Assistance Grant.
