AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING
A PORTION OF THE 800 BLOCK OF WEST WATER STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the owners
of land adjacent to and abutting upon the 800 Block of West Water Street in the
City, have,petitioned the City Council to vacate a portion of right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the citizens
of the City to discontinue a portion of the 800 Block of West Water Street for public
use as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it necessary,
reasonable and proper to discontinue as right-of-way a portion of the 800 Block of West Water
Street and forever vacate the following described right-of-way in said City:
Part of the Water Street Right-of-Way situated to the west of the northerly extension
of the westerly right-of-way line of Clay Street and north of the north line of Inlots 19
and 20 in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, more particularly described in Exhibit A
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property is hereby
confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, and the Mayor and the Clerk of the
City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to confirmthe reversionary
rights of the owners of property abutting on the area vacated, as described in Section 1 of this
ordinance, in the right-of-way vacated.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage.

Water Street Vacation
Part of the Water Street Right of Way situated to the west of the northerly extension of
the westerly right of way line of Clay Street and north of the north line of Inlots 19 and
20 in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of said Inlot No. 20 thence northerly parallel with
the east line of said Inlot No. 20, 30 feet, thence westerly parallel with the north lines of
Inlot Nos. 19 and 20, 93 feet 4 inches; thence southerly parallel with the west line of Inlot
No. 20, 30 feet, to a point on the northerly line of Inlot No. 19, thence southeasterly along
the north line of said Inlot Nos. 19 and 20 to the point of beginning.
