A RESOLUTION: AMENDING THE FY 2012 GENERAL FUND BUDGET AND MAKING A
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $223,000 FROM
THE CAPITAL ASSET REPLACEMENT RESERVE
WHEREAS, with Resolution 2010 -072, the Town Council established a Capital Asset
Replacement Reserve; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council and Town Manager have determined an immediate need to
commence procurement of (1) Town Hall parking deck improvements including replacement of light
fixtures, concrete repairs, and ramp joint replacement, (2) replacement of Public Works Facility fire alarm
system and field devices, (3) replacement of the membrane part of the roof of the Leesburg Public Safety
Center; and (4) the replacement of 22 spin bike exercise machines at Ida Lee Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the estimated costs for these items total $223,000, including $140,000 for the Town
Hall parking deck improvements, $ 18,000 for the Public Works facility fire alarm system, $37,500 for the
Public Safety Center membrane roof replacement, and $27,500 for the replacement exercise machines.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the FY
2012 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and a supplemental appropriation of $223,000 from the
Capital Asset Replacement Fund for the following:
(1) Town Hall parking deck improvements including replacement of light fixtures, concrete
repairs, and ramp joint replacement;
(2) Replacement of the Public Works Facility fire alarm system and field devices;
(3) Replacement of the membrane part of the roof of the Leesburg Public Safety Center;
(4) Replacement of 22 spin bike exercise machines at Ida Lee Recreation Center.
