A RESOLUTION: TOWN COUNCIL RECOGNIZES AND SUPPORTS THE SWEATS FOR
VETS PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZES THE TOWN MANAGER TO
PLACE A COLLECTION BOX IN THE LOBBY AT TOWN HALL
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to show its support of our service men and women in
a tangible way; and
WHEREAS, Sweats for Vets is an organization that collects donations of new sweat suits
for veterans of the United States military who are recovering from injuries at VA Medical Centers;
and
WHEREAS, the Town Council encourages the citizens of Leesburg to support this
organization in its mission to provide comfortable wear for our service men and women as they
recover and rehabilitate.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Council recognizes and supports the Sweats for Vets program and authorizes the Town Manager to
place a collection box in the lobby of Town Hall.
