COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, MAY 15, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
The City Council “Pre-Meeting” of May 15, 2017, was convened at 5:47 P.M. by Mayor
Carrie Tergin.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schreiber, Ward, and Wiseman
Absent: Henry
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Planning & Protective Services Director Sonny Sanders stated he would make an
announcement about the May 22 Work Session to discuss the proposed demoli tion
ordinance.
Council Members asked questions of City Counselor Ryan Moehlman regarding the
threshold of dollar amounts for contracts or bids approved by consent agenda vs. an
ordinance.
City Counselor Moehlman explained the process by which the Counci l would need to
accept the substitute bill 2017-9, as well as act upon the four separate bills “split out” of
that original bill.
