AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE INDIANA DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AUTHORITY
BROWNFIELD SITE ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The Indiana Development Finance Authority Brownfield Site Assessment Program has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with the costs associated with expenses of the Phase II environmental study of the Starr-Gennett area of
the Whitewater Valley Gorge; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Development Finance Authority Brownfield Site Assessment Program to assist with the costs associated
with expenses of the Phase II environmental study of the Starr-Gennett area of the Whitewater Valley Gorge.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00).
3. Said Funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for assistance with the costs associated with expenses of the Phase II environmental study of the Starr-Gennett
area of the White Water Valley Gorge.
Passed and adopted this 4th day of February, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
