HomeMy Public PortalAbout2011_12_13_R144 PMW Farms Pipeline ReimbursementThe Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED: December 13, 2011 SOLUTION NO. 2011 -144 ADOPTED: December 13, 2011 A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT F09 WATER LINE UPSIZING AND INSTALLATION OF A CASING PIPE AT PMW FARMS DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the Town's water transmission main report had identified the need for construction of a new 16" water line along River Creek Parkway and Fort Evans road to Carr tanks; and WHEREAS, Town staff became aware of the deveoper's intentions to build a new water line at approximately same location; and WHEREAS, developer also proposed a new roadway crossing the Town's effluent force main to Potomac River whereby a future pipe is to parallel the existing. This crossing hence necessitaed the need for installation of a casing pipe to eliminate the need for closure of the roadway; and WHEREAS, Town will be responsible only for reimbursement of the cost associated with the upsizing of the waterline between the developer's need (min. 8'!') and the 16" pipe and full reimbursement of the casing pipe. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the Town manager is hereby authorized to enter into a reimbursement', agreement with the developer for the costs associated with this proposal.
