1.Call to Order
Chair Larry Brandhorst called the meeting to order at 9:38 am.
2.Review and Approve minutes of the meeting held April 19,2017.
The committee approved the minutes.
3.Old Business
none
4.Review proposed bill to adopt the IBC -specific topics are Storm Shelters and Special Inspections -
sent back by Steering Committee
Considerable discussion was held on both topics.The committee reached a unanimous decision to
approve the Storm Shelter Section 423 as amended (see attached draft bill). The committee also
discussed the Special Inspection amendment to Section 107.1 approved previously and recommended
no change to the amendment.
5.New Business
With the draft adoption bill finished,the committee's work is finished unless the Steering Committee
does not accept the draft bill.The revised draft bill will be sent to the Steering Committee for review at
their May 11th meeting.
