A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION TO THE PARKS AND
RECREATION BUDGET OF DONATIONS TOTALING $6,640.00 FROM
LEESBURG GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE AND CENTRAL LOUDOUN
LITTLE LEAGUE
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department received donations from Leesburg Girls
Softball League and Central Loudoun Little League in the amount of $3,320.00 each; and
WHEREAS, the donations totaling of $6,640.00 are intended to be used for the purchase and
installation of shade structures over the bleachers at Freedom Park; and
WHEREAS, to date, Leesburg Girls Softball League and Central Loudoun Little League have been the
primary users of the diamonds at Freedom Park; and
WHEREAS, both organizations appreciate the access to the amenities available at Freedom Park
and are more than willing to contribute to their enhancement.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Parks and Recreation FY 2012 Budget is hereby amended, and an
appropriation is made in the amount of $6,640.00 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending
June 30, 2012.
SECTION 11. The Parks and Recreation Budget is amended in the amount of $6,640.00.
