A RESOLUTION: TRANSFERRING $1,500,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND
UNASSIGNED FUND BALANCE TO THE CAPITAL ASSET
REPLACEMENT RESERVE FOR REPLACEMENT OF VEHICLES
AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Town Council passed Resolution 2010 -072 establishing the Capital
Asset Replacement Reserve for routine replacement, renovation, and repair of General Fund
facilities and equipment; and
WHEREAS, use of the Capital Asset Replacement Reserve should be expanded to
include the orderly and scheduled replacement of vehicles and heavy equipment;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
effective June 29, 2012 the sum of $1,500,000 is transferred from the Unassigned Fund Balance
of the General Fund to the Capital Asset Replacement Reserve for the replacement of vehicles
and heavy equipment.
