RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -038 ADOPTED March 27, 2012
A RESOLUTION: GRANTING AN EASEMENT TO VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER
COMPANY ( VEPCO) AND VERIZON VIRGINIA INC. ( VERIZON) FOR
THE DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENTS PHASE I PROJECT
WHEREAS, staff has determined the need for the relocation of certain VEPCO and Verizon
facilities as part of the Downtown Improvements Phase I project; and
WHEREAS, VEPCO and Verizon have agreed to the relocation of a section of their
facilities in the alley way adjacent to the Town parking garage at no cost to the Town; and
WHEREAS, the VEPCO and Verizon have requested an easement for the maintenance of
the relocated facilities and have provided a Right of Way Agreement and Deed of Easement
documents and plats depicting the easement area for the Town's review and approval.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Mayor or her designee is authorized to execute the documents for dedicating the required easements
upon their approval by the Town Attorney.
