A RESOLUTION: AMENDING THE FY 2012 GENERAL FUND BUDGET AND
MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT
OF $73,770 FROM THE CAPITAL ASSET REPLACEMENT
RESERVE
WHEREAS, with Resolution 2010 -072, the Town Council established a Capital Asset
Replacement Reserve; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council and Town Manager have determined an immediate need
to: (1) replace the boilers and fire alarm electrical control panels at Police Headquarters; (2)
refurbish the emergency generator at Police Headquarters; and (3) replace the poolpak return air
fan and motor at Ida Lee Recreation Center indoor pool; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of these items totals $73,770, including $59,270 to
replace the boilers ($35,740), fire alarm electrical control panels ($7,530), and emergency
generator ($16,000) at Police Headquarters; and $14,500 to replace the poolpak return air fan and
motor at the Ida Lee Recreation Center indoor pool.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
FY 2012 General Fund budget is hereby amended and a supplemental appropriation in the
amount of $73,770 from the Capital Asset Replacement Reserve is approved for the following:
1. Replacement of boilers and fire alarm electrical control panels at Police
Headquarters.
2. Refurbishing the emergency generator at Police Headquarters.
3. Replacement of the poolpak return air fan and motor at the Ida Lee Recreation
Center indoor pool.
