A RESOLUTION: EXTENSION OF LEESBURG TOWN WATER TO RASPBERRY FALLS.
WHEREAS, Loudoun Water sent a letter to Leesburg Town Council requesting an explicit
and affirmative indication to consider a pipeline extension of Leesburg Town water for the
Raspberry Falls community; and
WHEREAS, at the July 9, 2012 Town Council Work session, Loudoun Water indicated that
implementation of a membrane filtration system will meet the needs (water quality) of the
Raspberry Falls community at projected build out; and
WHEREAS, Loudoun Water indicated there is adequate capacity of the Raspberry Falls'
wells to meet the needs (water quantity) of the rural community at build out; and
WHEREAS, Loudoun Water does not need the pipeline to meet the health, safety and
welfare needs of the Raspberry Falls community; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
it does not wish to participate in wholesale water provisions with Loudoun Water for Raspberry
Falls.
