Mayor Groninga Presiding. All councilmen present.
Council met in final session.
Motion -by Luwe second by a#l##A# Eckhoff to adjourn, carried.
New council met 11.00 P.M. Jan. 2 1962.
Clerk gave oath of office to Mayor elect Groninga.
Mayor Groninga adminstered oath of office to new council,MayoiwTjaden-
Herman Eckhoff-Lester Huisman-Chas Starr -TA% Schmidt and treasure John Bening
Motion by Starr second by Eckhoff to adjourn untill 7:30 P.M. ,motion carried.
Council met again at 7:30 P. M.
Motion by Eckhoff second by Tjaden to appropreate the foiling funds for 1962s

Motion by Huisman second by Schmidt that Peoples Saving Bank be made depositpry
for town funds for not more than $100,000.00. motion carried.

Motion by Schmidt second by Huisman tm file treasures report , carried.
Motion by Tjaden second byEckhoff that Eldon Huisman be appointed town attorney
and Dr. R Meyer as health officer, motion carried.
Mayor Groninga appointed Heiko Neessen and Dick Riekena as -town marshall-s
water commissinors (ect) and council set wages asHeiko Neessen not more than
$ 325.00 per mont�r�'Di.ck Riekena at not more than $ 275.00 per month.
Motion by Eckhoff sec&nd by Huisman to approvre bonds of town officials, carriedo
Motion by Huisman second by Starr to appoint John E. Riekena town clerk at a
salary of S 100.00 per month, motion carried.

Council set first Monday of month at 7:30 P. M. as meeting time.
Motion by Huisman second by Eckhoff to set pay of common labor at nb:jtmore
than S1.50 per hour, carried.
