A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK TO SIGN CONTRACTS FOR
POLICE SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF
Whereas, The City recognizes that Police protection is necessary and, currently, the
City of Tiffin does not have their own Police protection and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that we have previously
contracted with the Johnson County Sherriff's office to handle the City's policy
protection;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk to sign the contract for FY2014 in the amount of
$58,812 for police services.
On the 24th day of April, at a regular) meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2013-068, A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK TO SIGN
CONTRACTS FOR POLICE SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF
and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Bartels.
Ayes: Phillips, Upton, Bartels, Ryan, Kahler
Nays: none.
Absent: none.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2013-068, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK TO SIGN CONTRACTS FOR POLICE
SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF to be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 24th day of April, 2013.
