John Callahan Promoted to Deputy IT Director for the Town of
Leesburg
Leesburg, VA (April 24, 2019) – The Town of Leesburg announces the promotion of John
Callahan from IT Project Manager to Deputy IT Director.
Callahan has been with the Town for 22 years, and has led many key IT initiatives including the
implementation of networks and virtual servers, telephone replacements, Council Chambers
video and web streaming services, and numerous software implementations such as
Laserfiche. He has also worked extensively on the develop of the Town’current IT Strategic
Plan.
Callahan has education and certifications in ITIL v3, Project Management, and is a Certified
Microsoft Technical Specialist. A proud graduate of West Virginia University, he lives with his
family in Leesburg.
