Temporary Entrance to Leesburg Executive Airport During
Sycolin Road Improvements
Airport traffic should use the temporary entrance located off Miller Drive.
Leesburg, VA (May 2, 2019) – Beginning Wednesday, May 15, 2019, the entrance to the
Leesburg Executive Airport will temporarily close as a result of the Sycolin Road Widening
project. Improvements will be made to the airport’s main entrance and is anticipated to be
complete by the end of September 2019.
Airport traffic should use a temporary access road located off Miller Drive. Two message boards
will be placed on Sycolin Road alerting motorists of the closure.
The Sycolin Road Widening project is currently in the fourth and final phase, which includes
widening and upgrading Sycolin Road from two to four lanes, from south of Tolbert Lane to the
southern Town limits.
