Five New Sculptures Unveiled at Raflo Park
Each piece will be on display until June 2022.
Leesburg, VA (July 22, 2020) – On Saturday, July 18,
members of the Leesburg Commission on Public Arts
(COPA) and the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts (FOLPA)
joined Mayor Kelly Burk for the official unveiling of five
new sculptures, all the work of local artists, on the
ArtsPARKs sculpture trail in Raflo Park.
The five sculptures, artists, and sponsors are as follows:
Low-Poly Open Heart (R.I.D.E.), by m.l. duffy
and sponsored by Larkin Wealth Management
Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.
Unbroken Circle #4, by Sally Myers and sponsored by Rotary Club of Leesburg.
Kintsugi Heart, by Kim Pourciau Kim and sponsored by Friends of Leesburg Public Art.
Sun Flower, by Alyssa Imes and sponsored by Commission on Public Art.
Welcome, the Iconic Hand, by Brian Kirk and sponsored by Keane Enterprises.
“For any place to feel like home, art must be a component,” said Leesburg Mayor Kelly
Burk. “Art adds to the quality of life in any community. Thanks to the members of the Friends of
Leesburg Public Art and the members of the Commission of Public Art for their dedication to
making Leesburg an art destination.”
The new sculptures will be on display until June 2022. The sculptures are for sale, with the
proceeds benefiting public art projects in Leesburg. For more information, visit the COPA
