The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met May 3, 2017, in the Small Conference Room
of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was called to order by Bill Luebbert at
4:03 p.m. A quorum was present.
Approval of Minutes from the March 1, 2017 Meeting
A motion was made by Ray Fink and seconded by Dave Steinman to approve the minutes of
the March 1, 2017 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands.
Review License Applications
• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Sam Thomas to allow Chris
Roberts to receive his Masters License. Motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by Chris Bruemmer and seconded by Jim Gooch to allow Nathan
Agnew to take his Journeyman exam. Motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by Chris Bruemmer and seconded by David Steinman to allow Brian
Schremp to receive his Journeyman license. Motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by David Steinman to allow Dylan
Jones to take his Journeyman exam. Motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by Ray Fink and seconded by Sam Thomas to allow Kelly West to
take his Journeyman exam. Motion passed by show of hands.
Old Business
The Board approved the Chapter 8 City Code update for City Council consideration.
New Business
Establishing an electronic database for licensed electricians with the City was agreed upon and
this will be a work in progress.
License requirements for the Electrical Inspector were discussed. A motion was made by David
Steinman and seconded by Sam Thomas that the Electrical Inspector upon hiring must have a
Journeyman electrical license, must have at least 4,000 hrs. experience as a Journeyman
electrician, and must have or obtain a Masters Electrical license within 2 years of employment.
Motion passed with show of hands.

Certification requirements for the Electrical Inspector were discussed. A motion was made by
David Steinman and seconded by Sam Thomas that the Electrical Inspector shall obtain all
applicable ICC Electrical Certifications within 2 years of employment.

The next meeting was tentatively set for June 28, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.

With no further business the meeting adjourned at 5:08 p.m.
