A RESOLUTION: APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE FY 2013 GENERAL FUND
BUDGET, AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR $26,312.01
AWARDED THROUGH A REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE CITY OF
CHARLOTTE NORTH CAROLINA FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
SERVICES RENDERED DURING THE 2012 DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL
CONVENTION.
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Police Department provided assistance to the Charlotte
Mecklenburg Police Department during the 2012 Democratic National Convention (DNC); and
WHEREAS an agreement, approved by the Town Manager, was signed by the Leesburg
Chief of Police and by the Police Chief of Charlotte Mecklenburg agreeing on a formula for
reimbursement of costs incurred by the Leesburg Police Department during this mutual aid event;
and
WHEREAS the Leesburg Police Department has received payment from the City of
Charlotte in the amount of $26,312.01.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia the FY
2013 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the amount of
$26,312.01 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013. From the City of
Charlotte, $26,312.01 is received and appropriations of $26,312.01 are made to the Police
Department FY 2013 Budget.
