RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -032 ADOPTED February 12, 2013
A RESOLUTION: SETTING THE CY 2013 TOWN COUNCIL CALENDAR
WHEREAS, the Town Council traditionally meets in formal session at 7:30 p.m., on the
second and fourth Tuesday in each month and sits as a "committee of the whole" convening at
7:30 p.m. on the Monday preceding the regular council meeting in the Council Chambers, 25
West Market Street; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council traditionally cancels a set of meetings in August to
provide for summer break; and
WHEREAS, Council would like to have this summer break coincide with the Loudoun
County Public School calendar's summer break; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council traditionally cancels the second meetings of December to
observe the Christmas holiday; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg will observe Federal holidays on May 27 and
November 11, 2013; and
WHEREAS, these Federal holidays will conflict with the work sessions; and
WHEREAS, the set of meetings that would be scheduled for March 25 -26, 2013 occur
during Loudoun County Public Schools spring break.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town Council shall meet in formal session at 7:30 p.m., on the second
and fourth Tuesday in each month and shall sit as a "committee of the whole" convening at 7:30
p.m., on Monday preceding the regular council meeting in the Council Chamber, 25 West

RESOLUTION: SETTING THE CY 2012 TOWN COUNCIL CALENDAR
Market Street or at such time and place as the Council may determine from time to time with the
following exceptions:
1. The March 25, 2013 work session and March 26, 2013 regular session meetings are
cancelled for a spring break.
2. The work session meeting of May 27, 2013 is cancelled to observe Memorial Day.
3. The August 26 work session meeting and the August 27 regular session meeting are
cancelled for a summer break.
4. The work session meeting of November 11, 2013 is cancelled to observe Veteran's
Day.
5. The December 24 work session meeting and the December 25 regular session
meeting are cancelled for a winter holiday break.
PASSED this 12th day of February, 2013.
