AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
as follows:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-
1968 designates and describes as R-1 One -Family Residential District the
following described property located on Highland Road (Also known as
the Highland Lake Golf Course) in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more parti-
cularly described as follows:
The so!:theast quarter of Section 16, Township 14 North,
Range 1 West. ALSO, 20 acres off the entire south side
of the west half of the northeast quarter of Section 16,
Township 14 North, Range 1 West, containing in all 180
acres, more or less.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM: Being a part of the Southeast Quarter
of Section Sixteen (16), Township Fourteen (14) North, Range
One (1) West, in Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a solid steel rod at the southwest corner of
the Southeast Quarter of Section Sixteen (16), and running
thence, from said beginning point, north zero (0) degrees and
five (n5) minutes east, assuming the south line of said
Southeast Quarter to run east and west, a distance of one
thousand one hundred twenty-eight and nineteen hundredths
(1,128.19) feet to an iron pipe; thence east, parallel to
the south line of said Southeast Quarter, seven hundred
seventy-two and twenty-one hundredths (772.21) feet to an
iron pipe; thence south zero (0) degrees and five (05) minutes
west one thousand one hundred twenty-eight and nineteen
hundredths (1,128.19) feet to a solid steel rod on the south
line of Southeast Quarter; thence west, along said south
line, seven hundred seventy-two and twenty-one hundredths
(772.21) feet to the place of beginning, containing an
area of twenty (20.00) acres.
SUBJECT TO: The right-of-way of all legal highways and ease-
ments of record.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the
Zoning Classification of the above described area from R-1 to 0-1.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinan e was conducted by the
Richmond Plan Commission on the,,eday of , 1974,at
which time remonstrances were heard from allf parties Irnterested in or
affected by this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was
,5— to r)_ in favor of/4recommending the passage of Ordinance
No. 2872-1974.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the
above described property be, and the same is hereby changed to 0-1 Green-
belt District, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments
thereto.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and publication as by law required.
SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned
areas is hereby rescinded -and the zoning classification cf this area will
be in accordance with Section 2 of this Ordinance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
