AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED
AND TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($55,325.00) FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVE-
MENT "BUILDING" FUND TO PURCHASE FIFTEEN (15) CARS AND TWO (2) SCOOTERS
FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adop-
tion of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate
more money for the various function of the City Government than was appro-
priated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana:
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions
for the year ending December 31, 1974, the following amount of money is
hereby appropriated and set apart out of the funds named and for the purpose
specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such
amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to
be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated
from the Cumulative Capital Improvement "Building" Fund the following speci-
fied amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist:

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the
State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
