Re: Ordinance No. 2883-1974, Plan Commission
Case No. 74-2, 10 North 36th Street, a re-
quest to rezone from R-1 to C-2.
Dear President Marino, Council Members & Mrs. Mellen:
The Richmond City Plan Commission held a public hearing on Tues-
day, April 23, 1974, at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the
Richmond Municipal Building on the petition of James L. and Vera
Mae Solomon, 432 South 18th Street, Richmond, Indiana, requesting
a rezoning from R-1, One -Family Residential, to C-2, Community Bus-
iness, to permit general offices at 10 North 36th Street, Richmond,
Indiana.
All parties interested in or affected by this request were heard.
No remonstrances were presented at the hearing. Ten (10) letters
were sent to adjoining property owners and only one (1) was re-
turned and it was favorable.
On Tuesday, May 28th, 1974, the Plan Commission voted five (5) to
one (1) to recommend approval of the rezoning to Common Council.
Mr. Geier voted in opposition. Also it is important to note that
Mr. Solomon was not present during the hearing and the vote.
Respectfully submitted,
