A RESOLUTION: TOWN COUNCIL SUPPORT FOR LEADERSHIP IN THE LAW CAMP
2013
WHEREAS, in the past the Town has supported the Leadership in the Law Camp ("Law
Camp"), a weeklong, summer camp for rising seniors in high school; and
WHEREAS, Law Camp was founded by the Honorable Thomas D. Horne and is supported
by the Loudoun and Fauquier Bar Associations as well as many local law firms, attorneys and other
individuals who donate funds and time in order to teach students about the practice of law and the
justice system; and
WHEREAS, Law Camp is provided to 24 students at no cost to the student and is a
charitable endeavor performed by the aforementioned bar associations, firms and individuals; and
WHEREAS,recognizing the value of Law Camp to the youth of the town, it is Town
Council's desire to support Law Camp 2013 by providing conference rooms, copying services and
limited staff support to Law Camp.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Council hereby authorizes limited staff support, copying costs and the use of Town Hall
conference rooms in order to support Law Camp 2013.
