A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH NEW CINGULAR WIRELESS
PCS,LLC FOR TELECOMMUNICATION ANTENNA ON CARR TANK NO.2
WHEREAS,The Utility Department has been approached for making available leasing of space for
telecommunication cell phone antennas on Can Tank No.2;and
WHEREAS,the design of Can Tank No.2 was accomplished with the provision of providing
accessibility to such providers;and
WHEREAS,Request for Proposal(RFP)was issued and duly advertised per§15.2-2100-2105 of the
Code of Virginia;and
WHEREAS,one bid was received in response to the RFP;and
WHEREAS,the initial monthly minimum price of$3,200.00 as established by Town along with
other requirements have been met;and
WHEREAS,the term of the lease is for five years with the possibility of four five-year extensions
unless terminated by either Lessee or Lessor in accordance with the lease provisions.
THEREFORE,RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the Town
Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute a lease agreement, in a form approved by the Town
Attorney,with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC in the amount of$38,400.00 per year($3,200.00 per
month)with annual increases in the lease amount at 3%escalation on each anniversary of the
commencement date.
