APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE 2013 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, UPON REVIEW OF THE BIDS AND
RECOMMENDATION BY THE PROJECT ENGINEER
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Tiffin has received bids for the 2013 Capital
Improvement Projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has identified LL Pelling as having the lowest, most responsive,
responsible bid; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin is awarding the following Divisions: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 at this
time.
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin desires to expedite the contractual process; now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin to authorize the
Mayor and City Administrator/ Clerk to sign all necessary notices, documents, and forms of
contract, as required and necessary to execute a contract with LL Pelling as identified and
recommended by the Project Engineer.

RESOLUTION NO. 2013-@>
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING EMPLOYEE PAY INCREASES
EFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013
Whereas, The City recognizes that there should be a Cost of Living increase this year,
and;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to increase
employee pay by an annual rate of 3% in FY2014 effective on July 1, 2013.
On the 24th day of April, 2013, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Kahler introduced Resolution No. 2013-071, A RESOLUTION
ESTABLISHING EMPLOYEE PAY INCREASES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013 and made
a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Phillips, Upton, Bartels, Ryan, Kahler
Nays: none.
Absent: none.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2013-071, A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING
EMPLOYEE PAY INCREASES EFFECTIE JULY 1, 2013 TO be adopted and signified
his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 24th day of April, 2013.
