HomeMy Public PortalAbout2892-1974 - Transfer - Weights & Measures - from other Office Suppies, other Equipment, Properties, to Travel Expenses, Services ContractualORDINANCE NO. 2892-1974 AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE WEIGHTS & MEASURES BUDGET THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($125.00) FROM OTHER OFFICE SUPPLIES "SUPPLIES" (3-36-363) `$50.00 AND FROM OTHER EQUIPMENT "PROPERTIES" (7-72-726) $75.00 TO TRAVEL EXPENSE "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-21-213). WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various functions of the city government than was appropriated to the annual budget. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Rich- mond, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1974, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency that exists: AMOUNT REQUESTED TRAVEL EXPENSE "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-21-213) $125.00 SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appro- priations now have unobiigated balances which will not be used for purpose which appropriated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Indiana, that such unnecessary as follows: OTHER OFFICE SUPPLIES "SUPPLIES" (3-36-363) Common Council of the City of Richmond, appropriation be now reduced in amount REQUESTED REDUCTION $ 50.00 OTHER EUIPMENT "PROPERTIES" (7-72-726) $ 75.00 SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.
