PLAINFIELD, IL 60544 (815) 436-6544 OPEN AIR MEETING GUIDELINES The following items serve as a guide when applying for or considering an Open Air Meeting permit within the Village of Plainfield. Additional information regarding these ordinances or guidelines may be found at www.plainfield-il.org under Municipal Codes, or by contacting the Support Services Commander at the Plainfield Police Department. 1. Any group hosting an Open Air event on public property that will include speakers or other discussion involving matters of common interest, with an anticipated gathering exceeding twenty-five (25) persons shall be required to submit an application with the Plainfield Chief of Police (designee) at least seven (7) days prior to the event. 2. The group hosting the event must ensure that they receive prior permission to host their event from the person(s) or organization of authority over the land (i.e. Private Property-Property Owner; Park-Park District; Street-Village). 3.
