HomeMy Public PortalAbout2013_06_25_R075 Server Virtualization Contract Award The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED: June 25, 2013 RESOLUTION NO. 2013-075 ADOPTED: June 25, 2013 A RESOLUTION: AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR SERVER VIRTUALIZATION TO PCM-G INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $139,969.88 WHEREAS, a significant number of Town network servers are in a state of decline; and WHEREAS, new technology allowing the consolidation of many servers into one "virtualized" server has emerged to provide cost, labor, and power savings; and WHEREAS,the Town has access to PCM-G Inc.'s State Contract VA-090202, a competed, rideable contract; and WHEREAS, PCM-G has provided a quote in the amount of$139,969.88 dated June 5, 2013, that is within the Town's budget for this item from the Capital Asset Replacement Fund; and WHEREAS,the Information Technology Manager recommends an award of contract for Server Virtualization to PCM-G Inc. THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the contract for the server virtualization project is hereby awarded to PCM-G, Inc. in the amount of $139,969.88, and the Town Manager is hereby authorized to proceed accordingly with the respective contract in a form acceptable to the Town Attorney.
