BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING

Present: Joanne Hughes, Chairman, Dan Brightman, Vice Chairman, James Reynolds, Keith
Johnson, Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Senior Dept. Assistant.
1. J.M. O'Reilly-variance request for Lot 36 Sheep Pond Drive
Matt Farrell presented this to the Board. This is a new septic system which can only maintain 268'
+/- from Sheep's Pond.
Motion: DB-grant variance with the stipulation that if it ever fails, it would have to be
replaced in the same area. JR seconded. 4 yes.
2. Linda J. Pinto-variance request for 16 Pine Pond Road-less than 300' to pond
No one was present.
Motion: JR-grant variance. DB seconded. 4 yes.
3. Nelson Wirtz-failure to keep up an O & M contract for 160 Old Red Top Road
The Board agreed that a certified letter should be sent letting Mr. Wirtz know that if he does not
provide a copy of a current contract before the next BOH meeting on September 22, 2009, he will
start to be fined and the house could be condemned.
4. Discuss Planning Board application for 1657 Main Street
Noted.
5. Discuss Planning Board application re: Sign bylaw for Town Meeting
Noted.

8. Discuss Floor Drain Regulations
The Board spoke about this issue and asked NI to find out from the Plumbing Inspector if all the
floor drains from years ago had been closed.
9. Discuss DEP's "Guidelines for Title 5 Aggregation of Flows and Nitrogen Loading
Discussed.
