AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, CERTAIN
TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS THERETO, DESCRIBING THE SAME, PROVIDING FOR
THE PUBLICATION THEREOF, AND FIXING THE TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
TAKE EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. That the following described territory be annexed to and
declared to be a part of said City of Richmond, Indiana.
TRACT I
Being a part of the Fractional Section Numbered 24, Township 14
North, Range 2 West, and a part of the Fractional Section Numbered
2, Township 16 North, Range 14 East, both being in Wayne Township,
Wayne County, Indiana, and being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at an iron pipe in the east line of Fractional Section
24, Township 14 North, Range 2 West, said point being 2215.86
feet north 0 degrees and 43 minutes east of the iron rod marking
the southeast corner of said Fractional Section 24, and running
thence, from said beginning point, north 89 degrees and 24 minutes
west, along an old established fence line, 1600.19 feet to the
west line of said Fractional Section; thence continuing north
89 degrees and 24 minutes west, along said fence line, 1908.37
feet to a point on the south right-of-way line of Interstate
Highway Number 70, said point being 80.96 feet south 89 degrees
and 24 minutes east of a cross cut in the bridge over said Inter-
state Highway Number 70; thence along the south right-of-way line
of said Interstate Highway Number 70, the following courses and
distances: north 78 degrees and 24 minutes east 737.28 feet; thence
north 79 degrees and 28 minutes east 459.80 feet; thence north 81
degrees and 37 minutes east, 400.28 feet; thence north 79 degrees
and 22 minutes east, passing the east line of Fractional Section
2 at 429.82 feet, a total distance of 651.99 feet to the beginning
of the south right-of-way of roadway A and being the southwest
exit ramp of said Interstate Highway Number 70; thence along the
south right-of-way of said roadway A the following courses and
distances: North 88 degrees and 21 minutes east 382.86 feet; thence
south 77 degrees and 33 minutes east 191.05 feet; thence south 70
degrees and 58 minutes east 264.38 feet; thence south 67 degrees
and 57 minutes east 224.61 feet; thence south 72 degrees and 18
minutes east 285.43 feet to an iron pipe on the east line of said
Fractional Section 24; thence south 0 degrees and 43 minutes west,
along said east line, 160.32 feet to the place of beginning, con-
taining an area of 21.789 acres, there being 12.903 acres in Fractional
Section 24, Township 14 North, Range 2 West, and 8.886 acres in
Fractional Section 2, Township 16 North, Range 14 East.
All bearings refer to Indiana State Highway bearings.
SUBJECT TO: The right-of-way of the Flatley Road, the right-of-
way of the Salisbury Road, and any easements of record.
TRACT II
Being a part of Fractional Section Two (2), Township Sixteen (16)
North, Range Fourteen (14) East and a part of Fractional Section
Twenty -Four (24), Township Fourteen (14) North, Range Two (2)
West in Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana and a part of the
City of Richmond, Indiana and being more particularly described
as follows:

Beginning at a point in the east line of said fractional section
twenty-four (24), township fourteen (14) north, range two (2)
west, said point being seven hundred forty-nine and one tenth
(749.1) feet north zero (00) degrees and forty-three (43) minutes
east of the southeast corner of said fractional section twenty-
four (24) and running thence, from said beginning point, north
zero (00) degrees and forty-three (43) minutes east, along said
east line, one thousand four hundred sixty-six and seventy-six
hundredths (1466.76) feet; thence north eighty-nine (89) degrees
and twenty-four (24) minutes west, along an old established fence
line, three thousand five hundred eighty-nine and fifty-two
hundredths (3589.52) feet to the west line of said fractional
section two (2), township sixteen (16) north, range fourteen
(14) east; thence south one (01) degree and eight (08) minutes
east, along said west line, one thousand four hundred sixty-three
and fifty-six hundredths (1463.56) feet to a point forty hundredths
(0.40) feet west of a "Copperweld Monument" marking the northwest
corner of Replat of Clark's Subdivision; thence south eighty-
nine (89) degrees and thirty-six (36) minutes east one thousand
six hundred forty-five and thirty-three hundredths (1645.33)
feet; thence south eighty-nine (89) degrees and seven (07)
minutes east one thousand eight hundred ninety-six and ninety
hundredths (1896.90) feet to the place of beginning, containing
a total area of one hundred nineteen and sixty hundredths
(119.60) acres there being one hundred seventeen and ten hun-
dredths (117.10) acres in Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana
and two and fifty hundredths (2.50) acres in the City of Richmond,
Indiana.
SUBJECT TO: The right-of-way of Flatley Road on the east and
the rights -of -way of Salisbury Road and Interstate Highway
Number Seventy (70) on the west, the rights -of -way of Salisbury
Road and Interstate Highway Number Seventy (70) being described
as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of the above
described tract of land and running thence south eighty-nine
(89) degrees and thirty-six (36) minutes east twenty-five (25)
feet; thence north one (01) degree and eight (08) minutes west,
parallel to the west line of said fractional section two (2),
six hundred ninety-nine and ninety-two hundredths (699.92) feet;
thence north three (03) degrees and twenty-nine (29) minutes east
three hundred eleven (311.00) feet; thence north eighty-eight
(88) degrees and fifty-two (52) minutes east twenty-five (25)
feet; thence north two (02) degrees and twenty-five (25) minutes
east four hundred thirty-five and eighty-four hundredths (435.84)
feet; thence north seventy-nine (79) degrees and twenty-eight (28)
minutes east eighty (80) feet to the north line of above described
tract of land; thence north eighty-nine (89) degrees and twenty-
four (24) minutes west, along said north line, one hundred eighty-
one and one hundredth (181.01) feet to the northwest corner of
said tract of land; thence south one (01) degree and eight (08)
minutes east, along the west line of said tract, one thousand
four hundred sixty-three and fifty-six hundredths (1463.56) feet
to the place of beginning, there being an area of one and sixty-
one hundredths (1.61) acres in the rights -of -way of Salisbury
Road and Interstate Highway Number Seventy (70).
EXCEPTING from the above a certain tract of land in the Southeast
corner of Tract II presently located within the corporate boundary
of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 2. The terms and conditions applicable to the annexation of
the aforedescribed real estate in Section 1, are as follows:
A. That all of the above described real estate to be
annexed into the City of Richmond, Indiana, shall
be annexed and simultaneously therewith zoned into
General Industrial District, as defined and described
in Article 35 of the zoning Ordinance of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 3. The terms and conditions applicable to this annexation,
as set forth in Section 2, above, are deemed just and reasonable.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and publication as
by law required.
PASSED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, this
