RESOLUTION NO. 2013-085 ADOPTED July 23, 2013
A RESOLUTION: AMENDING THE FY2014 BUDGET AND MAKING A
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $68,000
FROM UNDESIGNATED FUND BALANCE TO THE GENERAL FUND
FOR A VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION REIMBURSEMENT
GRANT FOR AIRPORT MAINTENANCE.
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of airport maintenance eligible for reimbursement grant is
$68,000; and
WHEREAS, The Virginia Department of Aviation provides reimbursable grant funding
annually for qualifying maintenance projects at 80 percent or$54,400; the Town of Leesburg share
is 20 percent or $13,600 for general airport repair and maintenance; and
WHEREAS, this funding will be seed funding that is required in order to participate in the
reimbursement grant process.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
effective July 23, 2013 the sum of$68,000 is transferred from the General Fund undesignated fund
balance to the General Fund for airport maintenance grant funding.
