A RESOLUTION:APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE FY 2014 GENERAL FUND
BUDGET,AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR$2,109 AWARDED
THROUGH A GRANT RECEIVED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
FROM US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT
OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES.
WHEREAS,the US Department of Justice and the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice
Services through an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant(JAG)has awarded a grant
to the Leesburg Police Department in the amount of$2,109 to fund enhancements to the
department's technological and operational capabilities.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
FY 2014 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made to the Leesburg
Police Department in the amount of$2,109 from the US Department of Justice and Virginia
Department of Criminal Justice Service through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance
Grant (JAG) for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013 and ending June 30, 2014 to fund
enhancements to the department's technological and operational capabilities.
PASSED this 23rd day of July,2013.
