HomeMy Public PortalAbout2925-1974 - Appropriation - Fire Department - Alarm System & Other MaterialsORDINANCE NO. 2925-1974 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00) FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE FIRE DEPAR17IENT BUDGET, OTHER MATERIALS - ALARM SYSTE1,4 (4-44) "MATERIALS.' WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Govern- ment than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its insti- tutions for the year ending December 31, 1974, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expendi- tures to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT REQUESTED AMOUNT APPROPRIATED - FIRE DEPARTMENT BUDGET OTHER MATERIALS - ALARM SYSTEM (4-44) "MATERIALS" $ 2,000.00 $ 2,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Notary Public My commission, expires: 4 % ATTEST: Margaret Mellen City Clerk EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City September 3, 1974 , at the hour of 7:30 P.M. , Councilman Marino presided with the following members present: Messrs. Brown Cornett Elstro Geier , Mills Williams Absent: Merchanthouse, and Dr. Shields, , The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of August 21 and August 28, 1974 , Said notices stated that a public hearing would be eId on the 3rd day o September , by the Common Council to consider additionaT appropria- t ons as provided for in Ordinance "!o. 2925-1974 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Geier moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received`�ana ordered filed, seconded by Councilman Elstro and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance Edo. 2925-1974 Councilman Mills moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 2925-1974,s?conded by Councilman Elstro and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman Elstro moved for suspension of the rules to read Ordinance No. 2925-1974 by title only on first reading, seconded by Councilman Mills and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes; Brown, Cornett, Elstro, Geier, Mills, Williams and Marino. Noes; None. The vote being seven (7) to zero (0) in favor of.suspension. The Clerk read by title only on third reading Ordinance No. 2925-1974. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No.2925-1974 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the f wing was recorded: Ayes; Brown Cornett ,Elstro ,Geier , Mills --- WilliamsMarino.> > Noes; None. , > Absent:Merchanthouse, Dr. Shields. , The vote being 7 to 0 in favor of passage of Ordinance No.2925-1974.
