HomeMy Public PortalAbout2926-1974 - Appropriation - Motor Vehicle Highway Cash Operating Fund - Repair of Equipment & OilORDINANCE NO. 2926-1974 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SM OF ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,100.00) FROM MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHt4AY CASH OPERATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND, REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT (2-25-252) "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" $600.00 AND TO OIL (3-32-322) "SUPPLIES" $500.00. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C04,10H COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1974, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appro- priated from Motor Vehicle Highway Cash Operating Fund the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT (2-25-252) "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" OIL (3-32-322) "SUPPLIES" AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED $ 600.00 $ 600.00 500.00 500.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in req� iar session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City -September 3, 1974 , at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Councilman Marino presided with the following member$ present: Messrs. Brown , orne t Elstro Geier Mills Williams Absent:Merchanthousp,, Shields. . The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of August 21 and August 28, 1974 Said notices stated that a public hearing would be heId on the Jra day o September , by the Common Council to consider additionaT appropria- t one s as provideafor' in Ordinance No. 2926-1974 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Geier moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received an or eyed filed, seconded by Councilman Elstro and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance 4o. 2926-1974 Councilman Elstro moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 2926-1974, seconded by Councilman Mills and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman Elstro moved to suspend the rules to read by title only on third reading Ordinance No. 2926-1974, seconded by Councilman Geier and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes; Brown, Cornett, Elstro, Geier, Mills, Williams and Marino. Noes; None. The vote being seven (7) to zero (0) in favor of suspension. The Clerk read by title only on third reading Ordinance No. 2926-1974. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 2926-1974 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the fo owing was recorded: Ayes;Brown Cornett Elstro Geier Mills Williams Marino. Noes; None. 13, Absent:Merchanthouse, Shields. , The vote being 7 to in favor of passage of Ordinance o. -1974.
