RESOLUTION NO. 2013-093(a) ADOPTED August 13, 2013
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO INITIATE A SISTER CITY
RELATIONSHIP WITH SAINT CYR SUR LOIRE, FRANCE
WHEREAS, the city of Saint Cyr sur Loire, France, has expressed interest in establishing a
sister city relationship with the Town of Leesburg through their emissary Monsieur Arnaud
Boulestreau; and
WHEREAS,the city of Saint Cyr sur Loire shares remarkable similarities with the Town of
Leesburg in size, economic demographics, and proximity to the country's capital city; and
WHEREAS, the potential for economic development and cultural informational exchange
exists between sister cities.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is hereby directed to take the steps necessary to initiate a sister city relationship with
Saint Cyr sur Loire, France.
