HomeMy Public PortalAbout2934-1974 - Zoning - Special Use - 4444 National Road East - Off Street ParkingORDINANCE 30. 2934-1974 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2666-1971, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A "SPECIAL USE" IN AN R-2 SINGLE-FAPiILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT OF ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968, COfViONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968. SECTION 1. WHEREAS, on the loth day of December, 1971, the Common Council of 'the City of Richmond, Indiana enacted Ordinance No. 2666- 1971 which provided space for accessory off-street parking on real estate located at the rear of 4444 National Road East, Richmond, Indiana, and more particularly described in Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2666-1971. SECTION 2. WHEREAS, now it is necessary to expand the space for acces- sory off-street parking that had previously been approved pursuant to Ordinance No. 2666-1971. SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it is found necessary to expand the space for accessory off-street parking on real estated located at the rear of 4444 National Road East, Richmond, Indiana and more particularly des- cribed as follows: Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 14 North, Range 1 West, in the City of Richmond, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at an iron pipe, said point being 964.08 feet north 0 degrees and 26 minutes east (measured along the west line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35), 495.00 feet north 88 degrees east, and 460.00 feet north 0 degrees and 26 minutes east, of an iron spike at the southwest corner of said Southeast Quarter, and running thence, from said beginning point, south 88 degrees west, 102.00 feet to an iron pipe; thence north 0 degrees and 26 minutes east, 326.31 feet to an iron pipe set in the south right-of-way line of the former Dayton and Western Traction Company; thence north 67 degrees and 28 minutes east, along said south right- of-way line, 110.68 feet to an iron pipe; thence south 0 degrees and 26 minutes west, 265.17 feet to the place of beginning, containing an area of 0.808 acres. SUBJECT TO: Any easements of record. SECTION 4. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that Ordinance No. 2666-1971 be amended so that accessory off-street parking space may be expanded on to the real estate described in Section 3 of this Ordinance. SECTION 5. The Zoning Administrator of the City of Richmond, Indiana, is hereby authorized and directed, upon enactment and publication of this ordinance, to record and approve the issuance of a permit for the establishment of the use herein allowed. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and publication as by law required.
