HomeMy Public PortalAbout2941-1974 - Appropriations - General Fund - Fire Department - Rental of Hydrants and GasolineORDINANCE NO. 2941-1974 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF FOURTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($14,800.00) FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BUD- GET, "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-26-263) RENTALS OF FIRE HYDRANTS ($12,800.00) AND TO "SUPPLIES" (3-32-321) GASOLINE ($2,000.00). WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1974, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to the laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appro- priated from GENERAL FUND the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-26-263) RENTALS OF HYDRANTS $12,800.00 $12,800.00 "SUPPLIES" (3-32-321) GASOLINE $ 2,000.00 $ 2,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Promenade Subscribed and sworn to before me, a Notary Public, this day of t1'` ?.9 7 Notary Pubic 7 My commission expires: /(ut / % EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City October 21, 1974 , at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Councilman _ Marino presided with the following members present: Messrs. - awe — Cornett , Hilton Nerchanthouse Absent: None. The following business was had to -wit: Elstro Gaior , Mills William , (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk,presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of October 9 and October 16, 1974 . Said notices stated that a public hearing would be Meld on the 21st day o October 1974 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropria- t one s s provided for in Ordinance No.2938-1974 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Geier moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received ana o—raered filed, seconded by Councilman Williams and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 2938-1974 Councilman Elstro roved for engrossment of Ordinance no. 2938-1974, seconded by Councilman Geier and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman Elstro moved for suspension of the rules and read Ordinance No. 2938-1974 on third reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Coier and an a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes; Brown, Corfttt, Elstro, Geier, Hilton, Nerchanthouse, Mills, Williams and Marino. Roes; tone. The vote being 9-0 in favor of suspension. The Clerk read on third reading by title only Ordinance No. 2938-1974. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 2938-1974 was placed on final passage or rejectio and on a call of tiv roll the fofilowi as recorded: Ayes; Cpornett Elstro i�er 1111 Maroon house Mills am ' Noes; Absent: None. The vote being ' to infavorof passage of Ordinance No. -1974. (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting was adjourned.
