HomeMy Public PortalAbout2942-1974 - Zoning - N 12th & N A Streets - R-4 to C-2ORDINANCE °10. 2942-1974 AN ORDI?LANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 COHMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZO14ING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Hap which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 designates and describes as R-4,Multi-Family Residential Dis- trict the following described property located at North 12th and North "A" Streets, in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Lots 250, 256, 257, 256 and 259 in Elizabeth Starr's Addition to City of Richmond, Indiana. SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the Zoning Classification of the above described area from R-4 to C-2. SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan Commission the 26th day of November , 1974, at which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance. SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was 7 to 0 in favor of/lir op�+t4ttr -ttr recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 2942-1974. NOW THEREFORE: SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above described property be, and the same is hereby changed to C-2, Community Business District, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as by law required. SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned area is hereby rescinded and the zoning classification of this area will be in accordance with Section 2 of this Ordinance.
