RESOLUTION NO. 2013-121 ADOPTED October 22,2013
A RESOLUTION: DEDICATING AN EASEMENT TO NOVEC FOR THE RELOCATION
OF THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE INSTRUMENT LANDING
SYSTEM AT THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT.
WHEREAS,the Airport Runway 17 Safety Area Grading project is an approved capital
project in the Fiscal Year 2014-2019 Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS,the power supply to the Instrument Landing System needs to be relocated as
part of the Runway 17 Safety Area Grading project; and
WHEREAS,NOVEC needs an easement for the new power line; and
WHEREAS,NOVEC has prepared the deed language and the plat for the required
easement and will provide them to the Town for review and approval; and
WHEREAS,the deed and plat will be approved by the Town Attorney prior to execution;
and
WHEREAS,NOVEC has agreed to perform the relocation under a"Letter of Permission"
or"Right of Entry"if the deed and plat are not approved prior to the scheduled date for work to
commence; and
WHEREAS, it is in the Town's best interest to execute either the deed and plat or the
"Letter of Permission"/"Right of Entry"documents to keep the project on schedule.
THEREFORE,RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that:
SECTION I: The Town Manager is authorized to execute the"Letter of Permission"or
"Right of Entry"document needed to perform the relocation work.

SECTION II: The Mayor is authorized to execute the necessary deed and plat for
dedicating the required easements once they are approved by the Town Attorney.
