The Council of the village of Medina met in regular session on Tuesday,
July 1, 1969 at 7:35 P. M.
Wayne Neddermeyer - Mayor in Chair
Priscilla Arens - Clerk
Wayne Neddermeyer, Rayburn Anderson, Harrold Winterhalter
and Raymond Bosch present.
The minutes of the meeting of June 3, 1969 read. Moved by Harold Winter -
halter to approve the minutes as read.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch
Motion carried.
The minutes of the meeting of the Board of Review of June 19, 1969 read.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to approve the minutes as read.

The minutes of the special meeting of June 19, 1969 read. Moved by Rayburn
Anderson to approve the minutes as read.

The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of June 16th, 1969 read.
Sheldon Weinberg of the Hennepin County Purchasing Department explained
and discussed the purchasing plan.
Martin E. Conway of the Hennepin Founty League of Municipalities came to
meet the members of the Councileo explain some future plans.
Petition of John J. Dykhoff for water was presented. Clerk instructed to
write Mr. Dykhoff that it will be necessary for him to obtain the
signature of the Loven Brothers, otherwise it will be necessary to have
a public hearing.
Petition of Denis Jordan and Wilfred Cavanaugh for sewer and water was
accepted.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to pay the dues to the Hennepin County League of
Municipalities for the year from July 1, 1969 to July 1, 1970 in the
amount of $289.38.

Motion carried.
Mr. Cairns of the Elk River Cooperative Electric Compank submitted the
plans for the sub -station. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to approve the
plans for the super -structure and plantings for the Elk River Cooperative
Electric, as presented.
Seconded by Rayburn Anderson

C. O. Dorweiler brought up the matter of permits for shooting fireworks.
Mr. Gubbins is to contact both the Rolling Green Country Club and the
Colonial Drive -In Theater with regard to statements to the effect that
the village will be not liable for any damage to people or property.
Bob Mann reported on the progress and problems on the dewer and water
proltect. Bob Solheim reported on hook-up ordinance.
Moved by Harold Winterhalter for the adoption of the following vedaution:
WHEREAS, the Village of Medina has previously submitted an application for
a Federal Grant to construct a lift station, force main, two aerated
sewage lagoons and two soil absorption ponds under U. S. C. 466 et seq., and
WHEREAS, the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration has now
tendered an offer of $28,710 to assist in the construction of the said
sewage treatment works:
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED: That the Village of Medina does hereby accept the
offer of the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration and designates
Mr. Wayne Neddermeyer, Mayor of the Village of Medina, as representative
of the Village to accept the offer in behalf of the Village of Medina.

Motion carried.
A letter with regard to change of charges for cost of underground services
was read.
Mr. Gubbins reported on the progress in drawing an ordinance with regard
to the sewer and water hook-ups, etc.
Raymond Bosch explained the radar set-up. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to
buy the radar recommended by Mr. Bosch.

Letter from Gerald Reiser resigning as a part time policeman was read by
Raymond Bosch. Moved by Raymond Bosch to have a special police meeting
on July 8th at 8:00 P. M.

Moved by Raymond Bosch to authorize Rayburn Anderson to instruct Northern
States Power Company to install two electric street lights in the Hamel
area, one to be on the Hatcher road and one to be in the Des Lauriers
Addition, the actual location to be agreed on by Rayburn Anderson.

Russel Bouley, Jr. reported on the conditions of the Wykhof septic.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to pay the bills as follows: payroll in the amount
of $3,440.88 and order checks in the amount of $62,206.42.

Leo Leuer reported on the road work and future oiling.
Moved by Raymond Bosch that the meeting adjourn.
