HomeMy Public PortalAbout2966-1974 - Transfer - Fire Department - From Several line items for Fuel Oil, Building Repairs and Repairing of PartsORDINANCE NO. 2966-1974 A14 ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER NITHIN THE BUDGET OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT THE SUH OF NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS ($955.00)FRON "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-23) INSTRUCTION $220.00; FROM "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-21-211) FREIGHT & EXPRESS $35.00; FROM "SUPPLIES" (3-37) OTHER SUPPLIES $625.00; FROii "MATERIALS" (4-41) BUILDING MATERIALS $40.00 AND FROM "PROPERTIES" (7-72-725) OFFICE EQUIPMENT $35.00 TO "SUPPLIES (3-312) FUEL OIL $255.00; TO "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-25-251) REPAIR BUILDINGS & STRUCTURES $400.00 AND TO "iIATERIALS" (4-43) REPAIR PARTS $300.00. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Govern- ment than was appropriated to the annual budget. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Rich- mond, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1974, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appropriated the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency that exists: AMOUNT REQUESTED "SUPPLIES" (3-312) FUEL OIL $ 255.00 "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-25-251) REPAIR BUILDINGS & STRUCTURES $ 400.00 'MATERIALS" (4-43) REPAIR PARTS $ 300.00 SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropria- tions now have unobligated balances which will not be used for purpose which appropriated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriation be nou reduced in amount as follows: REQUESTED REDUCTION "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-23) INSTRUCTION $ 220.00 "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-21-211) FREIGHT & EXPRESS $ 35.00 "SUPPLIES" (3-37) OTHER SUPPLIES $ 625.00 "MATERIALS" (4-41) BUILDI`'1G PIATERIALS $ 40.00 "PROPERTIES" (7-72-725) OFFICE EQUIPMENT $ 35.00 SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropria- tion. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.
