HomeMy Public PortalAbout2970-1974 - Transfer - Motor Vehichle Higway - From Building Repairs and Motor Equipment to Electric Current and InsuranceORDINANCE NO. 2970-1974 AN ORDI?LANCE TO TRANSFER IIITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY BUDGET THE SUN OF OJE THOUSAN3 THREE HUNDRED TWENTY SIX DOLLARS AND TWENTY FIVE CENTS ($1,32G.25) FRO11 "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-25-251) REPAIR OF BUILDINGS 8 STRUCTURES ($213.53) AND FROi1 "PROPERTIES" (7-72-722) MOTOR EQUIPMENT ($1,107.72) TO "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-22-221) ELECTRIC CURRENT ($218.53) AAD TO "CURRENT CHARGES" (5-51) INSURANCE ($1,107.72). WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated to the annual budget. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Rich- mond, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1974, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appro- priated the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emer- gency that exists: AI^OUNT REQUESTED "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-22-221) ELECTRIC CURRENT $ 218.53 "CURRENT CHARGES" (5-51) INSURANCE $ 1,107.72 SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropria- tions now have unobligated balances which will not be used for purpose which appropriated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriation be now reduced in amount as follows: REQUESTED REDUCTION "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-25-251) REPAIR OF BUILDINGS & STRUCTURES $ 218.53 "PROPERTIES" (7-72-722) MOTOR EQUIPMENT $ 1,107.72 SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appro- priation. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.
