A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO SELL
600.SQ. FT. OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY TO ALLIANT ENERGY
FOR A SUBSTATION EXPANSION
Whereas, The City recognizes that it is a requirement. to hold a public hearing in order
to sell any City owned land/property and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that this step is necessary to
properly sell the requested 600 sq. ft. of City owned property to Alliant Energy for a
Substation Expansion in the amount of $10,000 and they will lease the property back to
the City for $1.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
setting a date for public hearing for 05/22/13.
On the 08th day of May, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Kahler introduced Resolution No. 2013-087, A RESOLUTION
SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO SELL 600 SQ. FT. OF CITY OWNED
PROPERTY TO ALLIANT ENERGY FOR A SUBSTATION EXPANSION. Motion
seconded by Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Bartels, Upton, Phillips
Nays: none.
Absent: none.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2013-087, A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR
PUBLIC HEARING TOSELL 600 SQ. FT. OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY TO
ALLIANT ENERGY FOR A SUBSTATION EXPANSION to be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing°his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 08th day of May, 2013.
