RESOLUTION NO. 2014-008 ADOPTED January 28, 2014
A RESOLUTION: AMENDING THE FY2014 BUDGET AND MAKING A
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $67,200
FROM UNDESIGNATED FUND BALANCE TO THE GENERAL FUND
FOR HIGHWAY EMERGENCY OPERATIONS MATERIALS
WHEREAS, the Town's Department of Public Works maintains treatment and removal of
snow from 250 miles of Town maintained roadways; and
WHEREAS, current highway emergency operations materials have been depleted and need
immediate replenishment due to the increased winter storm activity during FY2014; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of additional highway emergency operations materials is
$67,200.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
FY2014 General Fund Operating Budget is hereby amended and a supplemental appropriation is
made from General Fund undesignated fund balance in the amount of$67,200 for the Department
of Public Works for highway emergency operations materials effective January 27, 2014.
