AUTHORIZATION TO ACCEPT ADDITIONAL COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT FUNDS FOR MOBILE HOME IMPROVEMENTS
1996-1997
WHEREAS, there is a need for an upgrade of mobile homes located within two
parks in the Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Community Development has secured an additional
$35,00000 in funding from discretionary funds through the Middlesex County
Housing & Community Development Committee; and
WHEREAS, these limds will be made available on a grant basis to replace inefficient
and faulty heating systems, windows and doors for a minimum of twenty-five (25)
resident owners in the low and moderate range as determined by HUD income
guidelines for 1996;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Governing Body of the
Borough of Carteret hereby accepts the additional $35,00000 for the express purpose
of rehabilitating mobile home units for low and moderate income resident owners.
