RESOLUTION NO. 2014-052 ADOPTED April 22, 2014
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING AN EXPANSION OF THE CLASSIC CAR SHOW
FOOTPRINT AND WAIVER OF ADDITIONAL COSTS TO THE TOWN
FOR THE EXPANSION
WHEREAS,this is the 28th Annual Leesburg Classic Car Show; and
WHEREAS,the previous event footprint was King Street from Loudoun Street to Cornwall
Street and Market Street from Church Street to Wirt Street; and
WHEREAS,the current staff cost for the 2013 event footprint was$2,912; and
WHEREAS,these costs are waived as part of Resolution 96-130 on June 25,1996; and
WHEREAS,the newly requested footprint for the Classic Car Show is King Street from
Loudoun Street to North Street, Market Street from Church Street to Wirt Street, and Cornwall Street
from King Street to Wirt Street; and
WHEREAS,the newly requested footprint will require an additional police officer and one
additional man-hour for Public Works; and
WHEREAS,the additional staff cost for the newly requested footprint will be approximately
$350.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that:
SECTION I. Expansion of the newly requested footprint King Street from Loudoun Street to
North Street,Market Street from Church Street to Wirt Street, and Cornwall Street from King Street to
Wirt Street for the Classic Car Show is hereby approved.
SECTION II. Expansion of the Classic Car Show Footprint and waiver of additional costs of
approximately$350 to the Town is hereby approved.
