A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A WAIVER OF FEES IN SUPPORT OF AN ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE BETWEEN THE COMMONWEALTH
OF VIRGINIA, LOUDOUN COUNTY AND THE TOWN OF
LEESBURG FOR THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF OAKLAWN
LANDBAY`B"AND THE ACCELERATION OF THE
CONSTRUCTION OF HOPE PARKWAY
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg along with the Commonwealth of Virginia and
Loudoun County support the economic development initiative to develop a parcel known as
Oaklawn Landbay`B"; and
WHEREAS, the development of proposed Oaklawn Landbay `B" will provide the
opportunity for the acceleration of the construction of Hope Parkway and the enhancement of
economic development; and
WHEREAS, in a support the development of the proposed Oaklawn Landbay `B" site,
the construction of Hope Parkway, and the enhancement of economic development, the Leesburg
Town Council approves the contribution by the Town of Leesburg for a waiver of zoning fees
associated with this project; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Town of Leesburg Zoning Ordinance Article 3, Section 3.1.2
Application Filing Fees, the Leesburg Town Council is authorized to set fees for applications for
rezonings, proffer amendments, site plans, and other land disturbances and use matters: and
WHEREAS, the waiver of fees for the proposed Oaklawn Landbay `B" development is
both appropriate and necessary.

THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that in
support of the enhancement of economic development in Leesburg, the Town Council hereby
approves the contribution of a waiver of zoning fees associated with the proposed development
of the Oaklawn Landbay"B" site and the construction of Hope Parkway.
